Events
During the course of the year, a number of great special events occur in the City. Some are city sponsored, some put on by business owners and volunteer groups and some are the wonderful events of private citizens and groups that are shared by all.
City events include 'Prelude', to begin the Holiday Season. With Bridge Street decked out in fantastic holiday style, residents and visitors gather to sing Carols by the Clock Tower in the evenings.
The Bridge Street Festival which began as a showcase for the 'Historic Bridge Street' businesses, has grown into a full fledged arts , crafts and food street fair
The Anna Maria Privateers Fourth of July, and Santa Claus parades are always a big hit.
Amazing fireworks displays are put on by the Beach House restaurant on July 4th and New Years Eve.
Marriages, family reunions and other events are held at the Clock Tower, The Richard P Suhre Paviillion (end of the City Pier) and on the beach regularly. If you would like to hold your event in the city, please see Info and Applications.
