As I start my second term in 2008, I am very pleased that our comprehensive plan revisions have finally been sent to Tallahassee for review. This plan has been under under reconstruction for five years.
My focus for this term will be on Bridge Street and the newly opened pier complex. Three projects to be developed out of that location are: the establishment of a mooring field, the development of a water taxi system and the expansion of the "Trolley Up" campaign, bringing the trolley to a new stop on Bridge Street at the eastern round about from a park and ride lot at Coquina Beach. All three projects will contribute toward making our city a more "walkable community".
