Bradenton Beach is blessed with miles of sugar sand beach. Cortez and Coquina beaches on the Gulf side are public beaches managed by Manatee County.
Cortez Beach lies in northern section of the city, with numerous access points available.
Coquina Beach lies at the southern end of the city and has lifeguard supervision. A large parking area is located next to the beach from 5th Street South, with acres of parking found at the Coquina Park at the south end of the island and a newly renovated concession stand. Public washrooms, picnic areas and pavilions are also found at Coquina.
